The Velvet Factory was founded in 2000 and is specialized in development, commercialization, production and distribution of shoe collections for labels such as Olivier Strelli and Kamo-Gutsu. For the children shoe labels Red Rag, Develab, Chérie and adult shoe brands such as Högl, GP Design or IGI&Co we operate as an agent / importer for the Belgian market. The Velvet Factory is also a registrered supplier for buying associations such as Rexor, Garant, ANWR, GMS, Sabu and ABCD. The daily management is done by its three founding partners Freddy Dreesens, Marnik Bodard and Nancy Schepers. Kamo-Gutsu is designed in Belgium, produced in Italy and was inspired by the casual and sports shoes of the 1920’s and 30’s. The brand name originates from the Japanese footwear to play Kemari, which is claimed to be the 7th century primal version of todays’ football. To produce Kamo-Gutsu we use the best Italian nappa leathers combined with soft suedes and/or technical fabrics, always in contemporary color combinations. Joined by the full leather lining and the removable insole - produced in a state of the art “technical memory foam” - we manage to offer you a handcrafted sneaker with an unprecedented comfort. This young brand is available in selected stores in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Japan, etc…
